I thought I would use my over-ripe bananas because of an abundance created by a delivery that finally made it to me from Whole Foods and I had already braved the grocery store getting myself all wrapped in black including sunglasses (not raining that day, strange) plastic gloves and mask. I made Loaded Banana Bread. I had been entertaining myself with YouTube and researching for inspiration. I found Quarantine Cooking with Paula Deen. I didn't realize it was almost as good as Tiger King. She has been making me smile and laugh for years.
So in preparing for the blog to be written, I had to have photos. WahLah! I think, how do I show it to you? Not just a loaf of bread. I use two of the greatest home loves of my life, "dishes", and decor. I got just as much joy from styling my photos as I did the baking, another home love, and my stress release mechanism.
So the weekend turned out great. I did love London too!
Above: Fresh from the oven and still warm.
Left: Breakfast it is so good, serve it with cream cheese spread.
Below: This is a delicious Dessert with Edy's Double Fudge Brownie Ice Cream, Caramel Sauce, and with my fresh-made Whipped Cream.
This is the video on Paula's channel and you can watch her prepare the recipe right here now! Keep an eye on her glasses for her. Chuckle... Oh my, the things she was making some days just made me laugh and others were really great ideas. She is doing this every day until she runs out of recipes (don't think this is possible) or this "stay at home" order is over.
I used Cherry Craisins instead of raisins and added 3/4 cup of chocolate chips. Tip: I found that some ingredient measurements were not quite right. You can go here, a link to the recipe https://www.pauladeen.com/recipe/loaded-banana-bread/ I recommend watching some or all of the videos she makes for this channel, and don't forget to watch Quarantine Cooking Cracker Salad. Made with saltines... maybe it's a good one for you...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBHzvyPkPek&t=36s
I hope you enjoyed this post and making the bread. I have to tell you I loved the breakfast the most. Please leave a comment below.
